Once upon across the green and pleasant land that now constitutes the UK, it was a common sight to see hemp growing.
Since Colorado launched adult-use sales back in 2014, becoming the first U.S. State to legalise recreational use of the plant, the ‘centennial State’ has already turned over $6 billion in cannabis sales revenue. This is according to the Colorado department of revenue.
The approval of license applications for craft cannabis growers in Canada is so slow that, micro-cultivators say, for 150 license requests submitted by March 2018, only two were granted by this point in 2019, and none of the licenses are for growers in Alberta (arguably the country ́s richest province), and the only province where rules forbid growers from selling directly to retailers.
The UN continues to delay its decision on Cannabis Legalization. This includes Industrial Cannabis (Hemp) and its derivatives.

The debate surrounding cannabis legislation in the UK is messy, marred by so much in-fighting and disagreement that often either side of the debate don’t come across well enough to convince a four-year-old of anything, let alone a country.
