Flip to the other side of the Atlantic and this young man is certainly making waves for himself on the ever-rising Grime scene.
Octavian mixes up his style consistently between rapping, spoken word and melodic singing in a smooth and free-flowing manner that draws you in and gets your attention.
At times his harmonies sounds like a more rugged Ed Sheeran (on some of his earlier music especially) but his open and honest approach to music presents a polar opposite in terms of what he lives with on a daily basis. Glimpsing over numerous social issues and contemplating what the driving forces in his life are, Octavian manages to blur the lines between genres and carve out a sound of his own. (4)
