Macklemore – Glorious
In preparation for his next album (this time without his faithful sidekick Ryan Lewis), Macklemore returns to the scene with a typically humble track and a brilliantly down-to-earth video to back it up. Glorious is exactly what you might expect from him and has his trademark smooth delivery peppered all over its easy-listening piano riffs and a great hook sung by Skylar Grey.
Too many artists want to talk about the aspects of life that don’t really have any meaning, but Macklemore bares his soul in every moment and isn’t afraid to speak about his fragility as a human being. You have to respect him for this.
Aside from the instantly hummable track, the accompanying video is a testament to the important things in life and shows him surprising his grandma for her 100th birthday (certainly a feat worth celebrating) and letting her have a day to remember. Welcome back.

Rappers are known for extravagant music videos featuring raucous parties with tons of champagne, shenanigans, and scantily-clad women. When Macklemore needed a video for his new song, he went a totally different route.
