On Monday 13th of May 2019 the company listed in Poland on Warsaw Stock Exchange (WSE) changed its name to “Cannabis Poland SA”. Shareholders of the entity known so far under the name “Telehorse”, voted the resolutions on the change of activity into the hemp/cannabis industry.
During the General Meeting, the company also voted an issue of new shares in order to raise $800k capital.
Last Friday company announced signing the LOI with the biggest Polish e-cigarettes distributor and producer. Under the new name, Cannabis Poland plans to develop in the field of production and sale of pharmaceutical and medical products with the main focus on products containing cannabinoids produced from hemp and cannabis seeds.
The company will focus its activities on the production and distribution of equipment and vaporizing oils (inhalations) of cannabinoids, as well as research on new products that meet legal requirements. It is worth noting that from November 1, 2017 in Poland it is allowed to use medical cannabis for medicinal purposes.
Of the several hundred substances detected in cannabis, cannabinoids such as CBD, CBC, CBG, or CBN have strong health properties. For example, cannabidiol (CBD) is most often obtained by extraction with carbon dioxide. In this way, a pure CBD is obtained, which can then be processed into an oil for oral administration or into one of the types of concentrates intended for vaporization. The vaporization of cannabinoid-rich products is considered the most effective, effective and economical method of absorption by human body. Thanks to it, cannabinoids get directly into the bloodstream in just a few seconds.
Cannabinoids are used in anti-inflammatory, analgesic, anxiolytic, antipsychotic and antispasmodic cures. They are used in Alzheimer’s disease, multiple sclerosis, leukemia, diabetes, asthma, epilepsy, spinal cord injuries, migraines, and withdrawal therapies. They help with rheumatic pains. They have antiemetic and appetite stimulating properties, which is essential for people during chemotherapy. They can also be used in the process of rehab while fighting the addiction of smoking.
According to Prohibition Partners, the size of cannabis market in 2028 is estimated in Poland to 4,2 billion EUR and to 123 billion EUR throughout the whole Europe.
