No Butter or cooking oil is used for this recipe, we used kief but steps for those others are provided. Making Butter : 1 cup of butter 1 cup (7-10 grams) of ground cannabis, decarboxylated. Slow Cooker: Grind your cannabis coarsely with a hand grinder. Set your slow cooker to low, around 160ºF. Avoid exceeding 200ºF to prevent burning or wasting cannabinoids. Add the butter and ground cannabis. Stir occasionally. After about 3 hours, turn off the crockpot and wait for the butter to cool. Directions for Stove Top: Add 1 cup of water & 1 cup of butter into a pot or saucepan. Simmer on low heat and let the butter melt completely. Adding water helps to regulate the temperature. As butter begins to melt, add in your coarsely ground cannabis product. Maintain low heat and let the mixture simmer for 2-3 hours and stir occasionally. Making Oil : Adding in BHO to your recipes is much easier than going through the process of making butter. If the BHO potency is 80 percent THC, one gram contains 800mg THC. With 96 half-teaspoons in one cup of oil, each half-teaspoon serving of cooking oil would have 8mg of THC. Heat vegetable oil to 225 degrees, do not heat too high, or you’ll begin to ruin the THC in your oil and lower its effect. Mix in shatter/wax/crumble until it resolves completely, remove from heat & let cool.
