I'm involved in the Israeli medicinal cannabis industry from its infancy and actively been developing technologies for products and projects worldwide
Cannabium’s founders’ goal is to transform cannabis commodities trading, influence its investments and supply chain and as a result improve the lives of as many people as possible. The company intends to create a marketplace where producers and buyers can trade cannabis derivatives directly and transparently.
Cannabium’s Cannabidiol (CBD) extracts, produced at 82-acre cannabis farm in Colombia, which is the heaven for growing organically sustainable Cannabis. Organic farming is pesticide and fertilizers free, and it enables you to grow from local resources, without moving fertilizers and chemicals around, and it’s producing the purest product possible. ONE Colombia is Cannabium’s first production partner to sign on in supplying CBD for the platform.
Perceived as one of the most valuable extracts from the cannabis plant, CBD may contain a wide range of medicinal properties including anti-inflammatory, antioxidant and antipsychotic. The extract has been used extensively in treating symptoms of migraines, arthritis, and neurological disorders.
In light of new Cannabis regulations, we are now seeing the widespread adoption of medical cannabis as a potent treatment for multiple health challenges. Retail sales for medical marijuana in the US alone topped $3.2 billion in 2017, an 18% increase from the previous year, with sales projected to climb to over $6 billion by 2021.
Cannabium will provide a decentralized platform that will enable Cannabis extract producers and buyers to operate in an efficient, transparent marketplace, by making transactions traceable and easily tradable, all within an ecosystem that saves time and money on unnecessary, intermediary processes.
The Cannabium platform will be user-friendly with the accent on helping to meet user needs. Cannabium offers information about past records, transaction history, statistics and other useful data to enhance and simplify the buying and selling of CBD products. This creates opportunities for sourcing competitively priced CBD extracts that can then be used to manufacture high-end CBD products, such as oils, cosmetics, and skin creams.
Nachshol Cohen, Co-Founder of Cannabium, is a serial entrepreneur with over 10 years of experience in the industrial-scale cultivation of cannabis. Personal experience motivates Cohen’s commitment to the cannabis extract industry: He was in a medicinal chemistry research lab when his mother called him with the news that his father had been diagnosed with stage 3 multiple myeloma, an incurable form of cancer. “Part of my mission to help him was looking for ways to ease his pain as the treatment for that particular disease was extremely painful, and the opiates weren’t working for him. I don’t know what would happen if my father didn’t have medical cannabis to help him.”
“My father was one of the first patients in Israel that were licensed to grow and consume medicinal cannabis, and since he was too sick to do so, it was up to me to grow the plants and prepare them for him as a medicine. Those circumstances led to the fact that I’m involved in the Israeli medicinal cannabis industry from its infancy and actively been developing technologies for products and projects worldwide”, Cohen Adds.
Cannabium is already gathering attention from the medical cannabis industry. The team is excited to help transform the medical cannabis marketplace and ultimately provide more access, better products, and more competitive prices to its end users.
