Smoke Report – Dinamed CBD by Skunk-Mad

This will be my first time testing out a pure CBD strain and I’m very excited to see how this strain performs both for my medical needs and also my wife’s.

Dinafem seeds have been at the forefront of the CBD revolution. Bringing over 10 high CBD strains to market with high levels of CBD, reduced THC, whilst still retaining those flavors we all know and love. However “DinaMed CBD” is one of, if not the 1^st, “pure CBD” strain to be launched into the cannabis market.

With CBD levels up to 15% and the THC count below 1%, this is the 1st strain I’ve come across with such a low THC content, making this strain perfect for consumers who do not want to get “high”. Due to the low THC (the psychoactive compound within cannabis), this is a revolutionary new addition to the Dinafem menu.

As I primarily use cannabis for medical reasons, CBD is very important as it does help with pain, inflammation and, most importantly for me, my wife’s migraines. But foremost I’m a “pothead” and like to get “high”, so this is going to be one very interesting test.

So, let’s see what this strain is all about!

Physical appearance: as soon as I saw these flowers I was blown away by how beautiful they looked. The flowers had a sativa look to them. Not very densely structured with a beautiful purple color and dripping in trichomes filled with CBD goodness.

When examined under the microscope all trichomes were well formed. Curiously, all had very short stems but huge bulging glandular heads. The trichomes had only 2% amber heads, 95% cloudy and roughly 3% remaining clear. From what I’m told by the grower,CBD peaks just before the trichomes heads start to turn Amber and degrade. So, this plant was harvested with as many cloudy heads as possible to try and maximize CBD content.

Now, my favorite part. The smoke report.

My first task was to grab my grinder, break off some of those beautiful looking nuggets and grind them up.

When ground up the flowers had a nice fruity smell with hints of earth and the occasional menthol aroma.

For my first test, I rolled up a pure joint of DinaMed CBD, put the joint to my lips and started my first ever pure CBD test. The first thing I taste was Bubblegum then a nice fruity flavor but not specific to one fruit. A very nice initial impression, then, within 2 minutes, I felt my whole body sigh with relief. This was a feeling I had not felt before as it was more of a “body” high and not a “head” high.

The pain relief was amazing, with a feeling of calm throughout my body. I felt like I was 21 again but there was something missing. The head high was not there. So, onto the bong test.

My RooR bong got loaded up with CBD goodness and both myself and my wife took 2 big bowls each. This totally eliminated my wife’s migraines and worked wonders for both my pain and anxiety but again there was no head high just an amazingly relaxed body. Now, as my wife works in a bank she can’t really use normal strains at work or during work hours but with this strain having no psychoactive effect this will be perfect for daily use without fear of being “stoned” at work.

So, that’s 2 tests out of the way and this is where DinaMed CBD changed my world.

In the UK, we mix tobacco with our cannabis. So, instead of tobacco, I made a joint with 50% DinaMed CBD and 50% of a high THC strain (Dinachem). This gave me a joint with 7-8% CBD and around 9-10% THC, creating my own 1:1 ratio mix which worked out perfect. This way I’m getting a high dose of CBD whilst still getting a high THC boost and it has helped me to quit smoking tobacco completely.

When used pure, this strain delivers a high dose of CBD which works superfast on the ailments we have. The taste is great and the smoke is very easy on the chest. What a fantastic job Dinafem has done!

Final thoughts:

Going into testing this strain I was both excited and intrigued by how this strain was going to affect me and I must say I’m very pleased with the outcome.

My wife now has a strain she can use on a daily basis to stop those nasty migraines in their tracks and it has helped me in a way I could never have anticipated. I’ve tried many times over the years to quit tobacco products and this strain has done that whilst giving my body the CBD boost that it needs. I could not ask for anything better. The only downside for me was the lack of high I get from THC but this was easily rectified.
