The Strain
What do you get when you cross East Coast Sour Diesel with UK Cheese and Santa Marta Columbian Gold? Something exotic, tasty and surprisingly easy to grow, Sour Chelumbian!
This three way sativa powerhouse combines the dry herbal and earthy spiced Columbian with the full bodied sweet piney funk of the UK cheese, and meld that into the large sour gassy cola’s of the East Coast Sour Diesel (same cut also referred to as AJ Sour Diesel, Sour Diesel and a score of other names, the original name was Sour Diesel, later referred as East Coast Sour Diesel to delineate the difference from a slew of Sours on the West Coast…)
The ECSD adds yield and potency, while completing the taste profile, which has a nice Chelumbian lean on most (75%) that is a pungent dry earthy pine with hints of gas and other main phenotype (25%) exhibits a much sweeter flavor, reminiscent of how a sour cheese cross would taste, with only . the soaring sativa buzz from the Columbian present!
The reasoning for making this cross was to bring a soaring delicious sativa that is easy to grow to the masses. This cross was able to bring an uplifting buzz, with a distinct positive social feel, making random everyday interactions much more enjoyable. With bright flavours that lingers on the palate she is a strain you may smoke on flavor alone. With all these strains in this cross playing nicely together you get a unique plat that doesn’t forget to pay homage to its parents.
With Sour Chelumbian consistently delivering on all fronts, flavor, potency, ease of growth, and uniqueness. No wonder it took 1st place in the 2012 Sonoma Harvest Cup. First and only time entered into a cup that I’m aware of.
The hash made from this beauty is something special to behold indeed and rarely ever leaves my personal head stash.
We currently grow both phenos of Sour Chelumbian for personal smoke, and have a male selected to make some future generations of unique crosses. I will be growing this strain till the end of my days; I suggest you grab some to see for yourself what makes this my go to sativa!!!!
