The Commissioner has until the 1st December to make the final decision
Minnesota have instructed a review panel that is looking at risks and benefits of cannabis for treatment of new conditions. The panel consists of a psychologist, physician, nurse, and a family member of someone already in the group.
Some of the conditions that are being considered are panic disorder, opioid addiction, alzheimer’s and psoriasis.
The panel will present its recommendations to the department of health commissioner by the 1st November and the Commissioner will then make the final decision by 1st December 2018.
If the decision is confirmed Minnesota will be one of the first states for adding panic disorder and opioid addiction to the conditions eligible for treatment with medical marijuana.
