The committee will assess the feasibility of creating an MMJ market
A Temporary Specialized Scientific Committee (CSST) called “Assessment of the relevance and feasibility of the provision of therapeutic cannabis in France” was created by the National Agency for the Safety of Medicines and Health Products (ANSM).
This CSST, created for one year, will have the mission to evaluate the relevance of developing in France the therapeutic use of cannabis for certain indications and to propose if necessary, the methods of its provision.
The proposals that emanate from the work of this Committee will be based in particular on the analysis of all available scientific data and the experience of other countries that have already implemented it, taking into account the patients’ point of view. .
Thus, associative representatives, health professionals and human sciences professionals will be closely associated with the work of this Committee, either as members or by being auditioned. The members of this Committee will be appointed in the coming weeks.
A first meeting will be held in October and the CSST will deliver its first conclusions by the end of the year.
