Ground-breaking research on therapeutic healing, cognitive enhancement and spiritual awaking using psychedelics
July 5th, 2018 | San Jose, CA – The first of its kind in San Jose, the EntheoMedicine Event on August 18th, 2018, will be a gathering where attendees can share their collective interest and cultivate awareness of entheogenic and psychedelic medicinal plants. It will be hosted at the Center for Spiritual Living in San Jose and features an evening with leading entheogenic and psychedelic medicines expert, speaker, and author, Dr. Martin Ball.
Dr. Ball is a professor at the University of Southern Oregon in Ashland, and author of 20 books. He will discuss why entheogens, such as psilocybin mushrooms, peyote, ayahuasca, MDMA, 5-MeO-DMT and others, are effective medicines and healing tools with profound potential to treat anxiety, trauma, addiction and depression. Dr. Ball will also cover how psychedelic compounds can enhance creativity and cognitive ability.
“After a long dormant period, research and therapy with these substances is now ‘exploding.’ Research projects and clinical trials are now a hot topic in the news, especially after the recent publication of Michael Pollan’s book on the subject,” points out Dr. Ball.
EntheoMedicine will close the evening with a live concert featuring Madhu Anziani, who tells stories using sound: in particular, weaving soundscapes and inspirational messages. Madhu, a one-time paraplegic, is a sound healer who learned from the first-hand experience of using sound and energy healing to completely recover his ability to walk.
