One of my all time favorite varieties, Cream Caramel, is now available as an autoflowering strain. I had the privilege to grow and taste it before it entered the Sweet Seeds Catalog.
The plants are all very strong and vigorous, with thick stems prepared to sustain the heavy buds produced by this sweet strain. I grew 5 plants and their final height was between 50cm and 60cm. They are very easy to grow, adapting very well to small spaces and to adverse conditions. The plants were harvested 66-71 days after the germination of the seeds. I decided to harvest after observing the flowers with a microscope and verifying that many of the trichomes were already changing their color to amber. I am really impressed with their production, they produced the thickest buds I’ve ever had in my 400wHPS indoor grows. I am changing my mind about the autoflowering strains, they are known for being very fast, and now with this Caramels also very productive.
They were cultivated with 36w of CFL lights in the first 10 days of life and then with 400w always with 18/6. One may think that growing always with a 18/6 photoperiod supposes a higher electricity expense, but this autoflowering strain allows the gardener to harvest three or four weeks sooner than usual, saving almost a month of electric consumptions.
In my opinion one thing makes up for the other and after all, if we are in a hurry to have some weed ready to smoke, the autoflowering varieties making it possible to harvest almost a month earlier than the “no-autos”, this only goes for indoor growing, because when it comes to the outdoor growing, like with all autoflowering varieties, if seeds are sprouted in the beginning of the spring, harvest will be done before summer, avoiding the usual wait until the first weeks of autumn.
When I tried the smoke and . the vapor of this autoflowering Cream Caramel I fell in love with her taste more than anything, because it is very similar to the sweet taste of the “no-auto” version but even softer. With a few weeks of curing i’m sure it will get even better, but the earthy taste and the soft mix of candy and citric aromas are already easily noticeable. It also leaves an aftertaste comparable to the anise aroma, but very soft and fruity.
It seems like the Sweet Seeds breeders converted it into an autoflowering variety without losing one of her best characteistics: her sweetness, very pleasant to the palate.
I’ve already cultivated many other varieties for their high CBD content, but no other provided such a calm and relaxing effect on me. It is very potent but at the same time it is not a devastating high and because the effect features a security ceiling right at the proper point (according to my criteria, of course). The high is very adequate to watch tv, read or relax on the beach or in other natural sites, but it also does a fantastic job for the medical users who seek herbs to help them sleep better. The other important particularly of the effect is felt the day after the herbs are used, as it allows the user to wake up with energy and with a clean head.
If you like fast and discreet varieties, but also appreciate the sweet and medicinally powerful ones, the new Cream Caramel Auto is now freshly available, ready to satisfy your desire for cannabic dainties.

Been wanting to grow this strain; this review just moved it higher in my list of strains to try. Sounds lovely.
