EastEnders’ Pam St Clement and Linda Robson for shocking MARIJUANA doc on ITV
The 75-year-old former Albert Square actress will join Birds of a Feather’s Linda for the road trip with Christopher Biggins, John Fashanu and Bobby George.
Gone To Pot will see the group of celebrities travel across America to learn how marijuana is used for both medicinal and recreational purposes.
The issue of legislation has long been a subject of debate in the UK with marijuana having been reported to ease symptoms of arthritis, epilepsy, multiple sclerosis and several other conditions.
However, it remains the most commonly used and trafficked illicit drug in the world and evidence suggests that frequent and prolonged use can be detrimental to both mental and physical health.
Pam and Linda are both motivated by a personal desire to find out more about the issues involved and the series will follow their journey of discovery.
The group will drive a bus through states where medicinal and recreational use has been legalised, meeting people who have experienced both the benefits and downsides of medical and recreational use.
Production company Betty’s executive producer Ceri Jones said: “The legalisation of marijuana is a hot topic in Britain today, and I can’t think of a better bunch of people to investigate the subject for us.
“They will board the bus for a road trip like no other, leaving no stone unturned as they meet people who have experienced both the pros and cons of marijuana.”
all aboard
ITV’s commissioning editor Kate Teckman added: “ITV prides itself on tackling issues that get the great British public talking.
“This group of well-loved personalities will each have a very personal reason for undertaking this journey – it’s sure to be a trip they will never forget.”
Gone To Pot will air on ITV later this year.
Can you put it can cure “cancer” it will resinate in peoples subconscious memory better.
We have to state where it can help with some patients cancers, however its not a cure all with everyone. Different strains can help with different illnesses, but due to location they may not be able to get the right strain. To be really sure there needs to be more regulation and more clinical trials.
