Today, the Senate Committee on Indian Affairs held a listening session to hear comments from Tribal leaders, their designees, and other experts from Native communities on Tribal cannabis commerce and related equities.

Most of the changes came from recommendations made by the state Medical Cannabis Advisory Board.
Currently, anyone found in possession of cannabis can be sentenced to a maximum of five years in prison, an unlimited fine or both punishments under UK legislation
