In spite of the unsurprising backlash from the die-hard fans around the internet, this latest instalment in the ever-growing (and unlikely to ever stop) saga is exactly what people should have expected after the previous backlash aimed at The Force Awakens.
Without giving too much away, the bad guys are pretty angry at the good guys for ruining all their evil-doing and are trying to figure out a way to be even more bad to out-do the good guys and make sure they don’t try to meddle in their evil ways again. You probably could have figured that out, but there you go
Cue immense special effects, prolonged battles between humanoids, aliens and droids, phenomenal choreography and all the shiny light-sabers you could hope for over two and a half hours of sci-fi goodness. Is it the best Star Wars film yet? No. Is it worthy of your attention? Yes. Enjoy. (3.5))
