Professor
I have a male plant that I want to use for seed production, but I haven’t anywhere to keep it. I only want to seed a few select buds on a few select females. How can I keep it from heavily seeding all my ladies?
Thanks

Dear Too Much
I had the same dilemma and found a simple solution. I crushed one plain aspirin and mixed it into a glass of water. Then I selected and removed the best flowering tops from my male plant and kept them alive in the glass of water. The cuttings did very well in the indirect light of the lower corner of my garden.
I disposed of the rest of the male plant and when the male flowers opened I harvested the pollen in a paper envelope and used a q-tip to pollinate my favorite female plants. It worked well and I got the results I was looking for.
Let me know how things worked out.
