Carnival was one of the first strains introduced to the market by the Ministry of Cannabis in 2007.
It is a mostly sativa plant that develops a medium height, and offers an exquisite high…..
The Ministry’s target was to create a plant that was, first of all, stable, strong and fairly easy to grow for everybody and, even more importantly, able to create an high similar to the champagne.
Like the name “Carnival” suggests, the intent was to create a delicate state of mind where all the negative influxes are gone, and we can concentrate in what is really important, interact with people, make love, dance, or being creative. The content of THC can reach the 23%, so whatever the experience is, it can be very intense.
The recipe to reach this kind of high, very refreshing in this frenetic world, was to cross a Haze mother with a father that was mostly sativa. The proportions for this strain are indeed 80% sativa and 20% indica.
Carnival grows really fast and it is possible to let her flower after just about two weeks of vegetation in optimal conditions. This strain will perfectly adapt to the hydro, but if you wanna taste the real Carnival she has to be grown in soil. It is possible to get a good harvest in every kind of setup, large individual plants or SOG.
Pruning the top it is also possible and doesn’t influence the harvest. The flowering time is 9 weeks, that is absolutely not bad for an 80% sativa. Carnival loves to receive 2 full weeks of flushing just before to be harvested. Because the calix to leaf ratiois favorable, the manicuring is really fast and easy.
A proper drying period of 30 days is strongly advised. This can be done for the first 2 weeks. After that the buds can be chopped and you can complete this process in sealed glasses jars… just remind to let them breathe every day.
At this point Carnival will be able to release her magic potential. And the whole experience will start with a subtle aroma of fresh aloha and sandalwood. Deli-high-licious!
