The Glut, Potted Noodles
What a wonderful summer we have had in the UK this year at last all the outdoor growers can enjoy a full harvest of well budded weed, dripping in shinny crystals! Not battered by the wind too much either. And if you followed Sonias good advice that its well worth paying for good quality seed and you will have had a really good chance of producing some fantastic weed.
Good for all the solar powered growers too you really can’t beat the free heat of the sun for the outdoor plants to bask in.
Once all that growing and drying is done, over the past few years we have had the luxury of being able to meet up at The UK Hemp Expo. Organised by Weed World and held in various places including London’s Brick Lane. It was a great place to try everyone’s best, not a word to Ed.Well I mean how else is a girl to be kept up to date in such matters.
So you can see my dilemma while the Expo takes break this year. I have realised that there is only one way that I can get to do this and that is to invite myself round to yours and I can try out you’re your Best Bits over a cup of tea..
However if I do this it is going to take me some time so I shall keep you posted to my findings I know I am not the only one who is going to miss the great hemp show.
While I was at Glastonbury festival a young man called Sam came up to me at the Eric’s Kitchen book stall to give me this very easy potted noodle recipe using the Cannabutter recipe from Cannabis Café. So from that I have adapted this a little further exclusively for you all.
Method
14g Butter
1 g of well ground buds or hashish
Two packs of your favourite potted noodles
Method
Melt the butter slowly in small pan or in a cup in the microwave, grind down your weed to a fine powder and sift out any stalky bits. Gently add the weed to the melted butter and stir in well turning the butter into a wonderful emerald green.
If you are using hashish warm it in a small pan or spoon over a very low heat or gently warm in the microwave for a few seconds on medium, not full power. It’s ready once you can crumble it away with your fingers then add to the butter.
Fill the kettle with water, bring to the boil and add to your noodles or pasta pot, give it a good stir leave for a minute then add a small teaspoonful of canna / weedy butter and stir in really well, then simply carry on as you were.
Off course its very easy to create your own pot of potted noodles just make up half a pint of stock using little onion and carrots add some herbs and seasoning then add your noodles to cook for few minutes, once removed from the heat add your small teaspoon of weedy butter and stir in well before serving.
